‘The Muggles Won’t Get This’ – Ollie Felton Interview

If you live on the Wirral, or frequent Liverpool’s music scene, then the chances are you have been lucky enough to enjoy watching Ollie Felton grace the walls of one of the great city’s iconic establishments. KERB Productions first made contact with Ollie last year when members of our social media team attended his gig at West Kirby’s rock bar ‘The Wild Inn’. Even there, in the small yet lively venue, Ollie’s unique voice and acoustic notes were comparable to a new age Bob Dylan, and were evidently enough to turn the rowdy audience into a focused and impressed bunch of patrons.

After keeping in touch and recently hearing about Ollie’s upcoming release ‘Bulletproof’, we decided it was time to get together for a catch up. Ollie invited the team round for a brew and a chat, with our youngest journalist, Sam White, jumping at the chance to peck the frizzy head of one of the Wirral’s most prospering artists.

Listen to the raw and uncut conversation, as Sam and Ollie discuss the do’s and dont’s of learning to sing, how The Beatles and Tom Petty influence Ollie’s songwriting and of course, his upcoming song ‘Bullet Proof’ which is available to stream right now on Spotify!
